Commissioning
Observe the safety instructions!
8.1
Transport
• Depressurise compressed air cold dryer
and place in vertical position prior to trans-
porting
8.2
Installation
Conditions at the installation location
• Rooms: as dust-free as possible, dry, well
ventilated.
Assembly
• Maintain 50 cm of clearance space around
the compressed air cold dryer to allow
maintenance, sufficient ventilation and
correct functioning of the unit.
• Pipelines in the direct vicinity of the com-
pressed air cold dryer must be secured at
a minimum of one fixed attachment point.
• Never use the compressed air cold dryer as
a means of supporting pipelines.
• Make sure that the compressed air cold
dryer does not cause vibrations in the pipe-
line system.
• We recommend installing a bypass line to
perform maintenance without interrupting
operation.
• When assembling the inlet and outlet lines,
hold the connection on the compressed air
cold dryer using a suitable tool to prevent
it from rotating!
12
• Do not use conical threads or connections.
• Do not expand or modify the threads on
the connection lines.
• Seal the threads on the connection lines
correctly: up to 3/4" with Loctite 243, the
remainder with Teflon tape.
Electrical connection
• The mains voltage must match that speci-
fied on the rating plate.
• Electric protection according to technical
data.
• Observe VDE regulations 0100 and 0105.
When using extension cords: cable cross-
section:
min.
length: 3 m.
Before first use
1. Carry out a visual inspection.
2. Check the electrical connection.
9
Operation
Observe the safety instructions!
9.1
Use
1. Connect the compressed air cold dryer to
the mains power supply.
2. Switch on the compressed air cold dryer
at the ON/OFF switch. The condensate
discharge and the preheater on the com-
pressor (DK 10000 ECO only) are acti-
vated.
Note for DK 10000 ECO:
If the refrigerant compressor remains
switched off for long periods, it must be
preheated for four hours prior to subse-
quent use. Compressed air must NOT be
supplied during this time.
3. Introduce compressed air into the sys-
tem slowly.
9.2
Temperature control
Illustration, see fig. 5a
The temperature of the cooled compressed
air appears in the display field.
Control behaviour
The ECO indicator F lights up and the RL 1
relay is deactivated as long as the measured
temperature remains within the normal val-
ue range.
If the temperature falls to +2° C and stabi-
lises for 10 minutes, the control system
switches the dryer off. The control system
