7.4 Gas connection

Caution!Explosionhazard!
If the gas connection is not made properly, gas may escape.
The gas connection and any changes to it may only be car-
ried out by a certified gas specialist in accordance with the
applicable regulations and standards.
The gas and electricity supply must be disconnected during
installation.
The following instructions are accordingly addressed
to the installer.
Before the gas connection
• Make sure that the appliance is adapted to the available gas
type. If this is not the case, change the injector nozzles accord-
ingly as described in the section "Converting the appliance to a
different type of gas".
Note: The appliance can be operated with natural gas (NG)
or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
Ex works, the appliance is prepared for operation natural gas.
• Make sure that the local supply pressure corresponds to the
values given in the relevant tables (e.g. see "Technical Data").
If the gas pressure used differs or varies from that required,
a pressure regulator must be installed, that complies with the
applicable local regulations for the supply line.
• In the case of a gas supply with LPG, make sure that the gas
pressure regulator is TSE stamped and follow the gas pressure
specifications in the corresponding tables carefully.
• Make sure that the gas line is TSE stamped, approved for the
type of gas to be used and is in perfect condition.
Note that it must not exceed a length of 2 m or 120 cm if the
appliance is connected to a flexible hose.
