stable and safe operation of the tool, what will reduce the risk of injury and will make it easier to prevent the causes and eff ects of
back rebounding in the direction of operator.
Mounting discs of sandpaper (III)
Attention! Before installation of the sandpaper disc you should inspect it for damage. If any damage are notices as a breaks,
cracks, tears or shortages, such a disc should be replaced with a new one, free of damage.
Sandpaper disks should be equipped with the surface, which would allow for mounting them to the Velcro on the disk of the tool.
Rings should have holes located in the same place as the holes in the tool disk. Rings should be placed concentrically on the face
of the tool so, the holes in the disc with the holes in the tool. This will enable the proper functioning of the dust extraction system.
The edge of the disc sandpaper should not contact with the blade guard of tool and with the brush on the cover periphery.
Connecting the bag to collect dust (IV)
Hose connector should be pushed onto the dust extraction hole, make sure, that the hose will not slip out during the work. The bag
is equipped with a belt, which enables the suspension and moving it in the course of work. During the work you should control the
degree of fi lling of bag and empty it in the case of complete fi lling or if you notice a drop in performance of dust extraction.
Grinder can also be connected to an external dust extraction system. In this case, you should connect the hose of installation to
the hole for dust extraction as it is described above.
PRODUCT SERVICE
Preparing for operation
Before starting the work: you should carry out all assembly operations described above. Then adjust the power for the dust
extraction using the valve (V). Rotation of the valve in the clockwise direction increases the power of dust extraction, and in the
opposite direction reduces it.
Sander has a knob, with which you can adjust the speed of disc rotation in the range specifi ed in Table (VI). Rotate the knob
clockwise to increase the speed, and in the opposite direction to reduce it.
Operation of the grinder
If it is required, the workpiece should be fi xed in an appropriate manner, so it does not move during machining, for example, by
clamps or clips. Disc grinder spins at high speed and improper attachment of the workpiece can cause its uncontrolled movement
during operation, which increases the risk of injury.
Use the personal protection equipment. in the form of an eye and ear protection, a dust mask, suitable protective gloves and
clothing.
Do all the assembly and adjustment actions.
Make sure, that the the switch is in the "off " position. and then connect the plug of power cord to the mains wall socket.
Grasp the grinder with for main and additional grip and keep it in a safe position so, the shield and sandpaper can turn freely
without contact with other objects (VII). Push with your fi nger the switch lock, and then the switch itself. Allow grinder to achieve its
nominal rotation speed and only then apply it to the workpiece. During the operation it is not necessary to hold the lock button. The
switch has the ability to block during operation. If the lock switch is released while you are holding down the switch, it will remain
blocked, until the switch is pressed again.
You can turn off the grinder by releasing pressure on the unlocked switch.
After turning off the switch disc can for some time yet rotate. You should hold it in a safe position till complete stop of the disc. Do
not stop the disk by applying it to the work surface. Then put off the grinder, disconnect it from the mains by unplugging the power
cord and then proceed to its maintenance.
Tips useful when working with the grinder
It is forbidden to hold the grinder in a diff erent way than by the handles. in particular, it is forbidden to hold grinders by its housing.
Such holding does not ensure safe operation, and the vents, which are located on the housing, are covered. This can lead to the
destruction of the tool.
Grinding should not be too tight against the machined surface. Too much pressure can cause overheating of grinder, or damage
to the workpiece surface.
Hold grinder in such a manner, that the grinding is performed by entire surface of the sandpaper disc. This will allow for even
wear of disc.
The grinder should be moved towards you and away from you, and gradually to the side. Do not move on the circle. Wood should
be ground along the rings.. Sanding should begin with a paper of coarser grain and then gradually use fi ner grain paper, until you
reach the required surface, Avoid checking the status of the treated wood surface using bare hands. This may cause injury by
splinters and burrs, which are arising during processing.
The grinder has two areas from which the dust is transported to the installation of dust extraction. One area consists of openings in
the shield, and the second is the gap between edge of the disc, and the guard. The strength of dust extraction should be selected
experimentally during the operation. It is not always that the greatest strength will be most eff ective. Air fl ow, which is generated
during operation, can press the grinder such to the machined surface, making it more diffi cult to move the dust in the direction of
