01 Important notes on safety
Verifix UVA-STAR TUBE LAMPS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED AND PRODUCED
ONLY FOR STRUCTURAL GLASS ADHESION. THEY ARE NOT INTENDED FOR
ANY OTHER USE.
01.1 Inspecting the UVA-Star tube lamp
Unpack the tube lamp, remove the entire packaging material and check
the tube lamp for damage, such as a defective protective tube, a defective
fluorescent tube or cracks in the cable. If the tube lamp is damaged, notify
your supplier without delay. DO NOT PUT IT INTO OPERATION!
A damaged external lighting cable must only be replaced by the manufacturer,
their service agent or a similar trained expert in order to prevent any danger.
Any broken guard must be replaced.
01.2 Electrical hazards
General safety precautions should be taken when using any electrical device
in order to prevent physical injuries and damage to the appliance and its
surroundings. The connection lead should be long enough to reach from
the socket to the workplace without stretching the cable. The connection
lead may not hang over the edge of a work surface where it could snag
unintentionally. Risk of tripping over!
Do not run the connection lead over a hot place that could damage the cable.
The connection lead and plug may not come into contact with water or other
liquids.
Always remove the plug from the socket before opening the device.
Do not make any technical changes to the device.
If repairs are required, please contact the supplier

01.3 Electrical connection – warning notes
The connection voltage is 220 - 240V 50Hz (Art. No. 5500381, 5500386,
5500391 120V, 60Hz). A higher voltage than that stated is dangerous and can
lead to fire, accidents and to the destruction of the lamp.

01.5 Positioning the UVA-Star tube lamp
Place the tube lamp on a flat, sturdy worktop where it can be operated safely
and easily.
The workplace should be well lit, although not exposed to direct sunlight.
Otherwise the UV adhesive could unexpectedly set during processing.
It is essential to keep the tube lamp away from sources of heat!
Do not use the tube lamp in the open air!
Ensure that the tube lamp is never used by children.
