In a 'strongly electrical environment', it is recommended that you use shielded cables. Connect
the cable shield to terminal PE (terminal 9 on power supply 10-805-01). If you use several
external video units, you may only have one earthing point in the entire installation, in order
to avoid earthing loops.
Optionally, you can connect an additional door opener relay (10-835) to the external video
unit. Terminals P and R are provided for this purpose (fig. 4).

To extend the external video unit with additional bell push buttons, you connect one or more
extension modules to the external video unit. Niko recommends the use of extension modules
that are the same size as the external video unit (see chapter 6). You connect the extension
modules to the external video unit by connecting the connection cable of the extension module
to the plug provided for this purpose in the external video unit (fig. 2 and 4).

3. OPERATION AND USE

If everything has been connected correctly and the system is connected to the mains, the
LEDs on the external video unit will be illuminated.

Programming the system

When programming the bell push buttons and the internal units, you can link each bell push
button to two internal units. If you still want to connect more internal units in parallel, you
will need the service set (10-870). Conversely, you can link one internal unit to one or more
bell push buttons. An unprogrammed bell push button can also be used to switch the light. A
programmed bell push button requires an additional relay to do this.
Programming is carried out via the power supply and the internal unit. If it is impossible to
reach the internal unit, you can also program it by means of a service set (10-870) or via
a floor bell push button outside the house. The programming and resetting of the bell push
buttons is described in the manuals of the power supplies.
