• The socket directly at the bottom end of the unit.
• Alternatively place the unit in the charging station. The socket is at the rear.
• Plug the power adaptor into wall outlet.
• The indicator light remains red during the charging process.
• Charge the unit before first use for 9 hours.
NOTE:
• The charge indicator does not indicate the state of charge of the rechargeable bat-
tery.
• If the rechargeable battery is empty, the appliance can be operated via mains power.
In order to do so, connect the mains adapter directly to the appliance. The indicator
lamp lights up orange during mains operation.
• After initial use, do not charge the battery for longer than 9 hours at one time.
CAUTION:
After 9 hours always disconnect from mains power supply.
NOTE LIFEFIME RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
You can extent the lifetime of the rechargeable battery by following these steps:
• Only charge after the battery is nearly exhausted.
• Do not charge for more than 9 hours.
• Charge the unit at temperatures between 0° and + 40°C.

Adjust Cutting Length
1. Turn off the device. "OFF" can be seen on the switch.
2. Attach the shaving head to the appliance as described under "Cleaning and Mainte-
nance".
3. Select a comb attachment. Each comb is marked with its cutting length.
4. Attach the desired comb: Also refer to figure
clipper head into the jags of the comb. Firmly push the comb onto the clipper head
until it locks into place.
5. In order to remove the comb attachment, push the locking catch out of its lock.

• Select the cutting length.
• Switch the appliance on. "ON" can be seen on the switch. The indicator lamp lights
up green during battery operation.
