OPERATING YOUR THERMOSTAT
AUTOMATIC OPERATION
Move the slider to the AUTO position for automatic
operation. The Thermostat will now control at the
programmed temperature levels.
TEMPERATURE INQUIRY
In normal operation the temperature displayed is the
room temperature. To check the program setpoint,
press the TEMPerature button. The display will
blank briefly then display the temperature setpoint.
TEMPERATURE OVERRIDE
During normal operation the temperature setpoint can
be adjusted on a temporary basis by pressing the
TEMPerature or button.
The temperature override will be cancelled at the next
setpoint change.
MANUAL OPERATION
To operate as a simple thermostat with a fixed setpoint
throughout the day, move the slider, to the MANual
position.
Adjust the manual temperature setpoint by pressing
the TEMPerature or button.
FROST PROTECTION (heating systems only)
If your home is to be unoccupied for long periods you
can select frost protection. This will protect your home
by bringing the heating on if the room temperature
falls to the frost setpoint.
Move the slider to the position. The Frost setpoint
can be adjusted between 5°C and 10°C by pressing
the TEMPerature or button.
HOLIDAY OPERATION
When you go away on holiday your Thermostat can be
set to keep your home at a constant low temperature
while you are away and return to normal control on the
day you return.
Set the slider to the operating position you require on
returning from holiday (AUTOmatic or MANual).
Press the button to display the holiday days
counter and temperature. The days counter can be
adjusted by pressing the or button. The
holiday temperature is set using the TEMPerature
or button.
At midnight the holiday counter will be reduced by one
until the selected number of days have passed. The
Thermostat will then return to normal control as set by
the slider position.
HEATING/COOLING CHANGEOVER
(air systems only)
In air conditioning systems where it is possible to
change from heating to cooling the Thermostat control
action can also be changed. To change control action,
hold down the TEMPerature and buttons
together for about 3 seconds. The flame symbol will
flash indicating that the change is in progress. On
completion of the change the fan symbol will flash until
the buttons are released.
Repeating this procedure will change the control
action back to heating control.
24 HOUR or 12 HOUR AM/PM CLOCK DISPLAY
Your Thermostat can operate with 24 hour or 12 hour
am/pm clock formats. To change the format, ensure
the slider is in the AUTOmatic position then press the
and buttons together for 3 seconds. All the
displayed times will automatically be changed to the
new format.
Repeating this procedure will change the clock display
back to the original format.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The batteries which power your Thermostat should
last for about 4 years. A flashing battery symbol will
be displayed when the batteries require changing.
Remove the controller from its wallplate and replace
the batteries as shown.
ALWAYS USE NEW BATTERIES
Two AA size LR6 Alkaline cells are recommended.

TEMPERATURANZEIGE
Normalbetrieb: Anzeige der aktuellen
Raumtemperatur; Anzeige der programmierten
Raumtemperatur (Sollwert): Taste drücken; nach
kurzer Zeit wird der Sollwert angezeigt.
TEMPERATUR ÄNDERN
Während Normalbetrieb kann der Temperatursollwert
befristet angepaßt werden. Tasten TEMPeratur
oder drücken. Diese Änderung ist nur für die Dauer
der momentanen Schaltstufe wirksam.
KONTINUIERLICHER BETRIEB
Programmschalter in Stellung MANuell. Die
Schaltzeiten haben keine Wirkung, es wird ständig
eine Temperatur geregelt. Der Temperatursollwert
kann durch Drücken der Tasten TEMPeratur
angepaßt werden.
FROSTSCHUTZ (nur Heizsysteme)
Programmschalte-Stellung bewirkt, daß die
Raumtemperatur nicht unter den eingestellten Wert
absinkt - sinnvoll bei längerer Abwesenheit. Der
voreingestellte Wert (5,0°C) kann durch Drücken der
Tasten TEMPeratur oder angepaßt werden
(max. 10°C).
FERIENPROGRAMM
Mit dieser Funktion können Sie, für die Dauer Ihrer
Ferien, Ihre Wohnung auf ein eingestelltes niedriges
Temperaturniveau regeln. Am Tag Ihrer Rückkehr
schaltet der Uhrenthermostat automatisch auf die
gewählte Betriebsart um.
Programmschalter entsprechend der gewünschten
Betriebsart (AUTOmatic oder MANuell) einstellen.
Taste drücken; Eingeben der Ferientage (Anzeige
in LCD) mit Tasten oder ; Ändern des
Temperatursollwerts (Anzeige in LCD) durch die
Tasten TEMPeratur oder .
Die Anzahl der eingegebenen Tage wird jeweils um
Mitternacht rückwärts bis auf 0 gezählt. Danach
schaltet das Gerät automatisch auf die gewählte
Betriebsart um.
UMSCHALTUNG HEIZEN / KÜHLEN
(Nur bei Klimaanlagen)
Bei Klimaanlagen die es ermöglichen von Heizen auf
Kühlen umzuschalten, kann die Funktion des
Thermostaten ebenfalls umgeschaltet werden. Um die
Wirkungsweise zu ändern, müssen Sie die Tasten
und zusammen etwa 3 Sekunden lang gedrückt
halten. Das Flammensymbol blinkt dann um
anzuzeigen, daß die Änderung durchgeführt wird.
Wenn die Änderung abgeschlossen ist, blinkt das
Gebläsesymbol bis die Tasten losgelassen werden.
Über dieselben Schritte kann die Wirkweise wieder
auf Heizen zurückgesetzt werden.
24 STUNDEN - ODER 12 STUNDEN AM/PM- ANZEIGE
Zwei Anzeigenformate der Uhr- bzw. Schaltzeiten sind
möglich:
1. 24 Stunden (0:00 Uhr bis 24:00 Uhr)
Voreinstellung.
2. 2 x 12 Stunden (0:00 bis 12:00 AM/PM)
Umschalten der Anzeige:
Schritt 1:
Programmschalter auf Position AUTOmatik.
Schritt 2:
Tasten und ; gleichzeitig 3 Sekunden drücken.
Danach sind automatisch alle Zeiten auf die andere
Anzeigeart umgeschaltet. Wiederholung der Schritte 1
und 2 schaltet zurück.
BATTERIEN AUSTAUSCHEN
Der Uhrenthermostat wird über Batterien versorgt
(Lebensdauer ca. 4 Jahre). Nachlassende Kapazität
wird durch ein Batteriesymbol (blinkend) angezeigt. Die
Batterien sollten ausgetauscht werden. Trennen Sie
das Reglergehäuse von der Grundplatte (siehe Bild)
und tauschen Sie die Batterien wie dargestellt aus.
BITTE NUR NEUE BATTERIEN VERWENDEN
Empfohlen: 2 LR6 Alkalizellen, Größe AA
HINWEIS: Leere Batterien sind Sondermüll und
müssen daher entsprechend entsorgt werden!
