Intended use
This product is designed for shredding paper, CDs and credit cards. The separate collection container allows
the separation of shredded CDs and credit cards from shredded paper. It is intended for indoor use only.
Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the
product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and
keep them. Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous
playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from
any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room
into a warm one. The condensation generated could destroy the product.
The plug-in power supply unit also involves danger to life by electric shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power supply and
putting it to use. This may take several hours.
• Do not reach into the feeder slot.
• Do not insert paper pin, staples or any other metal parts into the feeder slot.
• Keep long hair away from around the feeder slot.
• Keep ties, scarves, loose clothing and long necklaces or bracelets away from the feeder slot.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains outlet before cleaning the product or storing it for a
longer period.
• Do not operate the device for longer than 90 seconds to avoid overheating the motor.
b) Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.

Operation
1. Place the shredder on a level surface.
2. To ensure stable and safe positioning of the device, lock both castors (4) at the front by pushing down
the locking levers on both castors.
3. Plug the mains plug into a mains socket.

Shredding paper
Do not insert more than 12 sheets of paper (size DIN A4 with a maximum grammage
of 80 g/ m2) into the insertion slot.

Do not shred adhesive notes or paper with remains of adhesive.
1. Slide the selector switch (1) to the right into the 'AUTO' position. The operational state indicator (2)
lights up green.
2. Now, carefully insert the paper into the insertion slot (8). The paper will automatically be fed in and shredded.
3. When finished, slide the selector switch into the 'OFF position.
Shredding CDs / credit cards
Shred only one CD or credit card at a time.
1. Slide the selector switch to the right into the 'AUTO' position to shred a credit card. The operational state
indicator lights up green.
2. Carefully insert a single credit card into the paper insertion slot (8). The credit card will be fed in and
shredded.
3. Slide the selector switch to the right into the 'REV' position to shred a CD. The operational state indicator
lights up green.
4. Carefully insert a single CD into the CD insertion slot (7). The CD will be fed in and shredded.
5. When finished, slide the selector switch into the 'OFF' position.
Clearing paper jams
1. Slide the selector switch to the 'REV' position.
2. The cutting unit will now run in the reverse direction and push the jammed paper out again.
Troubleshooting
Problem
The cutting unit continuously keeps
on running in the 'AUTO' position.
After shredding, there are still pieces
of paper remaining in the cutting
unit.
The automatic paper feed does not
work properly after having used the
cutting unit's 'REV' mode.
The automatic feed stops, however
there is still paper in the insertion
slot.
The device does not work, although
no pieces of paper remain in the
feeder.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Cause
The paper container is full and
the paper from the cutting unit
cannot feed through.
The remaining pieces of paper
are stuck between blades.
Remaining pieces of paper block
the automatic feed.
The paper was inserted into the
insertion slot at an angle.
The paper is too soft, thin, damp
or creased.
The motor is overheated.

Solution
Unplug the mains plug and
empty the container.
Slide the selector switch into
the 'REV' position.
Ensure the paper is straight
as it goes into the insertion
slot.
Fold, dry or flatten the pape.
Leave the device to cool
down before putting it into
operation again.
