Drip tray
• The drip tray (5) serves to collect excess water. It can simply be pulled forwards out of the appliance for emptying
or cleaning.
• The drip tray is covered by the drip grid (4) that can easily be removed from the drip tray (5) upwards.
• The water level in the drip tray (5) is indicated by the level indicator (9). The red indicator protruding from the drip
grid (4) indicates that the drip tray must be emptied.
Steam tube and steam outlet
• Steam comes out from the steam tube (12) during steam production. It is rotatable and can be swivelled outwards
and inwards.
• The steam outlet (11) serves to produce milk froth. It can easily be pulled down from the steam tube (12) for
cleaning.
b) Getting started
The following steps must be observed when removing production residues before first use and cleaning the internal
parts of the machine.
The procedure described below should be carried out before resuming operation of the appliance,
especially if it has not been used for a long time.
• Lift off the water tank (13) and remove the red cover on the underside of the drain valve. You no longer need this
red cover and it can be discarded.
