b) Connecting the LED strip to the LED controller
• Connect the 6-pin connection on the LED
strip to the corresponding 6-pin socket on
the LED controller.
The arrow tip on the LED
controller socket be aligned with
the "+12V" label on the plug of
the LED strip.
• The plug connection can be protected from unintentional disconnection by using a strip of
adhesive tape.
c) Connecting the power adapter
• Connect the output plug on the power adapter to the input socket on the LED controller.
• Plug the power adapter into a standard mains socket connected to the public grid.
If the LED strip does not light up when you first switch it on, switch off the power
supply immediately and check whether the plug on the LED strip is connected
correctly to the socket on the LED controller!
Configuring the LED strip in the app
a) Installing the app
• Open the respective app store on your smartphone. If you are using
Android , open "Google Play". If you are using an Apple device, open

the Apple "App Store".
• Search for the "Smart Life - Smart Living" app (house icon with blue
background) and install it.
• Alternatively, scan the QR code on this page. You will be directed to the
page of the appropriate store. The QR-code works on Android
iOS devices.
b) Launching the app for the first time
• Open the previously installed "Smart Life - Smart Living" app.
• If you haven't created a free account, sign up now and follow the onscreen instructions.
• Log in to the app using your account.
• If you are using several devices, we recommended that you create a profile for your home
first. You can then create several profiles (e.g. for each room). The corresponding settings
page in the app can be accessed with the button in the lower-right corner.
c) Programming the LED strip
• To configure the LED strip, your smartphone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network
that you wish to use for the LED strip.
Please note that only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks are supported.
• To add a new device, touch the "+" button in the upper right corner of the app's main page.
If the LED strip is already in connection mode (LEDs flashing white), the app
may find it automatically and prompt you to complete the setup. If so, follow the
instructions in the app.
• To add the LED strip in the app, start by
selecting the second option from the top
in the left-hand tab (for lighting, see upper
black rectangle in the screenshot).
• Then select "Stripe Lights (Wi-Fi)" (Light
strip (Wi-Fi)) (see lower black rectangle in
the screenshot).
Tapping this rectangle takes you to the next
configuration page.
• If your Wi-Fi network has not been applied
automatically, first select it (touch the double
arrow on the right) and then enter the Wi-Fi
password.
• Touch the blue button to save your selection
and continue.
• To connect the LED strip to the app, it must
be in connection mode. This is indicated by
a flashing white light.

R • To do this, disconnect the power supply

when the LED strip is switched on and
reconnect it immediately afterwards, and
then repeat for second time (when switched
on: off - on - off - on). The LED strip should
then start to flash in white.
• If the LED is flashing in white, check the box
(small square in the screenshot) to make the
button underneath turn blue.
• Then touch the blue button in the app.
• The app will search for the new device
and complete the setup. This can take
several minutes. When setup is complete,
and

the display should look like the right-hand
screenshot.
• Touch the pencil icon to assign an individual
name to the new device.
• If you have previously created a profile with
rooms, you can assign the device to a room.
Touch the desired room under the name of
the device so that it is highlighted with a dark
background.
• Finally, tap the blue lettering at the top to
complete the setup.
• The newly added device will be displayed on the main page (see first screenshot in the next
section).
• If you created a room at the beginning, the room will also be displayed on the main page.
• If you assigned the device to a room, it will also be shown under the respective room.
• If you touch to switch to a room, you will only see the devices that are linked to that room.
