Inserting/Replacing the Batteries
If the fl ow meter is already mounted on a tap, remove it from the tap fi rst. Dry the fl ow meter
carefully; otherwise, water could penetrate into the battery compartment, which would perma-
nently damage the fl ow meter, loss of warranty!
When shipped, the battery is already inserted and the fl ow meter is in a power saving mode. Just
press any key to view the display. If this is not the case, open (as described below) the battery
compartment and check whether the manufacturer has perhaps inserted an insulating strip to
protect against premature discharge of the battery.
The battery must be replaced if the display contrast fades or the fl ow meter can not be turned
any longer.
• Open the cover on the back of the fl ow meter by turning it slightly to the left, anticlockwise, using a suitably
sized coin. Take note of the orientation.
• Insert a battery of type CR2032 into the battery compartment, paying attention to the correct polarity.
The positive terminal, marked with a "+" on the battery, must face the cover (Inside the cover, there is a
small mark with the symbol "+").
• Replace the battery compartment cover with the battery in back into the fl ow meter. Lock the battery
compartment cover by turning it back to the starting position, slightly to the right clockwise, using a suitably
sized coin.
Important!
The battery compartment cover will only fi t on the fl ow meter in one position. Therefore, do not
use force when fi tting it into place!
