Intended Use
The sound recording module can record and play back noises or language with a length of 20 seconds.
The module is supplied by a 9-V monobloc battery (not included in the scope of delivery) and can thus be
operated independent of place and absolutely risk-free.
The module can be used as an independent device of for installations in other products such as, for exam-
ple an information board.
This module is a "non-CE-tested" component and ism conceived for installation in devices or housing.
When using the device, the CE norms must be observed.
No part of the product may be modified or converted! The safety instructions must be observed at all times !
Safety instructions and danger warnings
Read the operating instructions through completely before setting up the device; they
include important information about correct operation.
• The guarantee will lapse in case of damage caused by failure to comply with these operating instructions!
We shall not be liable for any consequent damage!
• We do not take any responsibility for personal injury and damage to property caused by incorrect handling
or non-observance of these safety instructions! The warranty will lapse in such cases.
• The device is not a toy and has no place in the hands of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around carelessly. They could be swallowed by children or domestic pets. If
swallowed, contact a doctor immediately.
• Avoid playing back noises directly at your ears.
Commissioning and operation
A 9-V monobloc battery is required for operation (not included in the scope of delivery).
Connect the battery clip with a new 9-V monobloc battery.
Language/noise recording
To record language, press the rubber push-button set aside from the main board and hold it down as long
as you wish to record. A red LED indicates recording operation. Speak now at a distance of approx. 8cm
directly into the loudspeaker which functions as a microphone for recording. After 20 seconds, the record-
ing process is terminated automatically.

For language playback, press the rubber pushbutton located on the main board once. The recorded content
is reproduced.
To improve the quality of the playback, the loudspeaker should be built into housing which is closed to the

rear.
Inserting/replacing the batteries
The batteries have to be replaces when the volume is reduced or the device no longer functions. It is advis-
able to remove flat batteries to prevent damage cause by leaking batteries.
Disposal of flat batteries / accumulators
You, as the ultimate customer, are legally obliged (Ordinance regarding Flat Batteries) to return all used
batteries and accumulators; disposal in the household waste is prohibited!
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to the protection of the environment!
When the device has become unusable, dispose of it in accordance with the current statutory regulations.

Batteries / accumulators which contain hazardous substances are marked by the symbols on the
side. These symbols also indicate that it is prohibited to dispose of these batteries in the house-
hold waste.
The abbreviations for the decisive heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
You can return flat batteries / accumulators free of charge to the collection points in your com-
munity, our branches or anywhere else where batteries or accumulators are sold.
