Before first Use
 Remove the device from the packaging and dispose of the packaging materi-
als carefully; the plastic bags may become a deadly toy for children.
 Unwind the he FM wire aerial that is located at the rear side of the unit.
Unwind it and extend it to its full length.
 Place the device on a solid and horizontal surface.
 Connect the power cord to an AC outlet.
 Insert a battery of the type LR6 (AA) into the battery compartment (10) of the
clock. Pay attention to the proper polarity of the battery. The polarity is printed
inside the battery compartment.
Listening to the Radio
1. Turn the volume control knob (5) counter clockwise to setup the volume to a
lower level.
2. Use the power switch (6) to switch on the device.
3. Use the AM/FM switch (MW/UKW) (3) to select the desired frequency band
FM (UKW) respectively AM (MW).
4. Adjust the tuning control knob (4) to select the desired radio station. Read the
frequency at the frequency range scale (2).
5. Use the volume control knob (5) to adjust the volume to the desired level.
6. Use the power switch (6) to switch off the device.
Notes on radio reception:
AM (MW): The bar aerial is located inside the cabinet. In case the reception
quality is unsatisfactory, try repositioning the device until the aerial picks up the
strongest signal.
FM (UKW): The FM (UKW) wire aerial is located at the back of the cabinet. If
necessary, adjust the position of the antenna until the reception quality is satis-
factory.
Using the Alarm Clock
 Use the time adjustment wheel (11) to set the clock.
 Use the alarm time adjustment wheel (9) to set the alarm time.
 Set the on/off switch (12) of the alarm clock to "ON" in order to activate the
alarm clock. Set the on/off switch (12) of the alarm clock to "OFF" to deactivate
the alarm.
