NOTE
►
If possible, keep the appliance's original packaging during the warranty
period so that the appliance can be packed properly for return shipment in
the event of a warranty claim .

Wash the appliance in warm soapy water and dry it thoroughly before first
use .
♦
Place the appliance into a pot that has side walls with a height of approx .
15 cm . Fasten the appliance on the pot's sidewall by means of the pot clip
Set the pot onto a level, dry and slip-free surface .
♦
Pour warm water into the pot until the water level is between the MIN and
MAX markings .
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

Note that the water level rises when you add the food . Do not exceed the
MAX marking and ensure that the water level is always above the MIN
marking!
NOTE
►
The water temperature should be as close as possible to the temperature
you require for cooking . This minimises the waiting time until the set tem-
perature is reached .

The water should not be hotter than the required temperature, however .
►
You can find the required temperatures in the list of cooking times (see sec-
tion Cooking times) .
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection data of the
appliance (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with that of your
electrical supply . This data must correspond in order to prevent damage to
the appliance .
