Fasten the calibration board and P-Assist
laser unit with securing cables when
working.
¶
For assembly, disassembly and trans-
port, remove the calibration board and
the laser unit.
WARNING – Severe eye damage from
laser beam.
¶
Never look directly into the laser source.
¶
Never point the laser beam at people,
particularly at their face or eyes.
¶
To test function, hold an object in front
of the laser exit point.

Product description

3.1

Intended use

The EL–52425 is intended only for static calibration of
sensors and cameras on motor vehicles. The repair and
service instructions specific to the vehicle manufactu-
rer are authoritative. Any other or additional application
does not constitute intended use.
3.2

Measurement bay prerequisite

Evenness of measurement bay
R
The vehicle must be standing on a flat surface.
R
The levelness of the floor must not vary by more
than ±7 mm/m.
This corresponds to 0.4 degrees.
Test bay conditions
R
The vehicle must be empty.
R
The vehicle's tires must be inflated to the specified
tire inflation pressure.
R
The calibration board must stand on the same flat
floor as the vehicle.
R
The calibration board must be clean and free of mar-
kings, discoloration or other blemishes.
R
Perform the calibration under normal lighting condi-
tions:
$
Daylight, fluorescent light, conventional LED
light.
$
There must be no bright light source in the field
of view of the CCD camera.
