Password Mode

In menu item Audio you set the DVD audio language. This language
must be available on the DVD. When changing the DVD audio language
during playback this does not influence the setting under this menu
item.
In menu item Subtitle you set the DVD subtitle language. This language
must be available on the DVD. When changing the DVD subtitle lan-
guage during playback this does not influence the setting under this
menu item.
In menu item Disc menu you set the DVD menu language. This language
must be available on the DVD. When changing the DVD menu language
during playback this does not influence the setting under this menu
item.
In menu item Parental you activate the parental lock for DVD playback.
You can enter the parental lock for different age groups. With activated
parental lock the valid password must be entered before DVD playback;
the password must be set in Password Mode. The DVD must contain age
information for this function to be available.
In menu item Default you reset the unit to the factory settings. All
personalized settings are deleted.

Press SETUP (6) on the remote control.
The main menu is displayed and the General Setup Menu icon is high-
lighted.

Repeatedly press (8) until Password Mode is displayed.

Press (8) to highlight a menu item.
In menu item Password Mode you activate/deactivate the password for
the parental lock before DVD playback.
In menu item Password you set or change an existing password.
You have to enter the old password in order to set a new password. The
master password is "1389".

In case you forget your password use the master password to
deactivate the parental lock.
