This print may be equipped in three different ways, i.e.:
1) One indicator for the left channel
2) One indicator for the right channel
3) One double indicator (two indicators in a row) for bridged
mono applications.
Start by mounting the common components to the two P4020PM
prints (repeat this procedure twice).
Mount the jumper marked J on the print.
Mount the following resistors:
- R14, 56 ohms (green, blue, black)
- R15, 56K (green, blue, orange)
- R16, 470K (yellow, purple, yellow)
- R17, 120K (brown, red, yellow)
- R18, 10K (brown, black, orange)
- R19, 270 ohms (red, purple, brown)
- R20, 1K5 1/2W (brown, green, red)
- R21 to R24, 1K 1/2W (brown, black, red)
- R25, 180 ohms 1W (brown, grey, brown)
Mount the diodes D1 to D3 type 1N4148. Watch the polarity!
Mount the 1.3W 16V zener diodes ZD1 to ZD4. Watch the polarity!
Mount the IC sockets for IC1 to IC4.
Mount the transistor type BD136 or BD138. First bend the
connections and then connect them using a 10mm m3 bolt and
nut in such a way, that the metal back contacts the print. Only then
the connections may be soldered.
Mount the electrolytic capacitors (bend them against the print):
- C1 to C3, 47uF. Watch the polarity!
- C4, 4.7uF. Watch the polarity!
Mount MKT capacitor C5 of 470nF (sometimes marked u47)
Use as a normal stereo amplifier:
The following resistors are mounted on both prints:
- R1 to R3, 33 ohms (orange, orange, black)
- R4 and R5, 100 ohms (brown, black, brown)
- R6 and R7, 330 ohms (orange, orange, brown)
- R8 and R11, 1K2 (brown, red, red)
