Prescribed Use
The product is intended for being connected to the 1394-port of a PC/notebook
computer and serves to provide your PC with colour photos.

Software Installation
First install the enclosed software and only afterwards connect the
camera to the 1394-port of your PC.
Otherwise, the camera might not work properly!
Insert the enclosed CD into the respective drive of your PC. If the automatic set-up
of the CD does not start automatically, please open the file "Autorun.inf" on the CD

Installation du logiciel
Installez d'abord le logiciel joint, branchez ensuite la caméra au port
1394 de votre PC.
Sinon il se pourrait que la caméra ne fonctionne pas correctement.
Insérez le CD livré dans le lecteur correspondant du PC. Au cas où le programme
d'installation du cd-rom de démarrerait pas automatiquement, ouvrez le fichier
"Autorun.inf" du cd-rom (ce fichier n'est qu'un fichier de texte renvoyant au pro-
gramme qui devrait être lancé automatiquement à l'insertion du cd-rom) et vérifiez
le nom du fichier écrit dans la ligne "open=...". Au moment de la rédaction du pré-
sent mode d'emploi, il était écrit dans cette ligne: "open=AUOTptn\AUTOptn.exe",
lancez donc le fichier "AUTOptn.exe" dans le dossier "AUTOptn".
Suivez toutes les instructions du programme d'installation. En règle générale, il faut
redémarrer Windows. Ce procédé/fichier d'initialisation pourrait être différent pour
les versions ultérieures du logiciel.

Please follow all instructions of the installation program. Normally, a restart of
Windows is required after installation. This procedure/start file might have changed
for new versions.
Connection
Please connect the 1394-camera to a 1394-port of your PC by means of the enclo-
sed 1394-cable.
If you use a 1394-repeater, please make sure that it supplies enough power. If the
camera does not work properly with a 1394-repeater, please try and connect it directly
to the 1394-port of your PC or use a 1394-repeater with an own power supply.
Software
Under "Start/Programs/1394 PC Camera" you will find a small test program
("AmCap") for testing the basic functions of the camera.
Tips & Notes
• If your PC is equipped with several 1394-ports, it does not matter which 1394-port
you choose to connect the camera.
• Turn the definition wheel very carefully!
Do not turn it completely as this might damage the camera.
• The 1394-webcam will be recognized automatically by appropriate programs (e.g.
Netmeeting of Windows 98/ME).
• single images can be made via the Twain interface from every suitable application
program (the graphic program has to support Twain).

Logiciel
Dans le dossier "Démarrer/Programmes/Caméra PC 1394" se trouve un petit pro-
gramme de test ("AmCap") permettant de tester les fonctions de base de la camera.
Astuces et conseils
• Si votre PC dispose de plusieurs ports 1394, il est sans importance auquel vous
raccordez la camera.
• Tournez soigneusement la molette de netteté.
Ne la dévissez ou vissez pas entièrement, cela pourrait endommager la caméra.
• La webcam 1394 est détectée automatiquement par les programmes adéquats
(par ex. par Netmeeting de Windows 98/ME).
• Il est possible d'élaborer des images individuelles au moyen de l'interface paire à
partir de chaque application convenable (le programme graphique doit prendre en
charge une interface paire (Twain)).
