Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt ist ausschließlich zum Betrieb in einem SD-Karteneinschub eines dazu geeigneten PDAs
geeignet (Pocket PC mit aktuellem Windows CE-Betriebssystem erforderlich).
Das Produkt entspricht den geltenden nationalen und europäischen Richtlinien. Alle enthaltenen Firmen-
namen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der jeweiligen Inhaber. Alle Rechte vorbehalten.

Installation
Schalten Sie den Computer ein und warten Sie, bis das Betriebssystem geladen ist (Windows XP
empfohlen). Schalten Sie danach den PDA ein und verbinden Sie ihn über das dem PDA beiliegende Sync-
Kabel mit Ihrem Computer (die beim PDA beiliegende Sync-Software muss bereits installiert sein und im
Hintergrund laufen).
Legen Sie die mitgelieferte CD in das entsprechende Laufwerk des Computers ein. Falls das Installations-
programm nicht automatisch erscheint, so starten Sie die Installationsroutine über „setup.exe" (könnte
auch „install.exe" bzw. „autorun.exe" heißen, beachten Sie den Inhalt der CD).
Nach einem Klick auf „Install" werden die benötigten Treiber installiert, folgen Sie allen Anweisungen.
Stecken Sie die SD-Karte in korrekter Orientierung vorsichtig in den SD-Einschub Ihres PDAs, bis sie
einrastet. Beachten Sie die Bedienungsanleitung zum PDA. Wenden Sie keine Gewalt an, die SD-WLAN-
Karte muss sich leicht einstecken lassen.
WLAN-Verbindung im PDA
In dem englischsprachigen Handbuch auf der CD (PDF-Format, zum Betrachten ist der kostenlose
„Acrobat Reader" erforderlich, den Sie bei www.adobe.com herunterladen können) finden Sie eine sehr
ausführliche Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung. Je nach Sprachversion Ihres PDA-Betriebssystems sehen die
Fenster natürlich etwas anders aus.
Wählen Sie im Startmenü des PDAs „Programme" aus und starten Sie die WLAN-Software („WLAN"-Icon).
Klicken Sie unten auf „Radio". Im nun erscheinenden Fenster schalten Sie die WLAN-Funktion ein („S/W
Radio: ON"), schließen Sie das Fenster wieder.
Die weiteren erforderlichen Einstellungen sind abhängig von den vorhandenen WLAN-Komponenten und
den von Ihnen benötigten Verbindungen.
Tipps und Hinweise
Die maximale Reichweite ist u.a. abhängig von der Ausrichtung des PDAs und der Antenne(n) Ihres
WLANs. Es können im Idealfall bis zu 30m möglich sein, aber auch eine Reichweite von max. 5m ist normal.
Richten Sie ggf. den PDA bzw. die anderen WLAN-Komponenten anders aus, um die Reichweite zu
verbessern.
Der Betrieb der WLAN-Karte verringert trotz einer relativ geringen Stromaufnahme die Betriebsdauer Ihres
PDAs. Dies ist normal. Wenn die WLAN-Karte nicht benötigt wird bzw. wenn Sie auf die maximale
Akkulaufzeit Ihres PDAs angewiesen sind, so entfernen Sie sie aus Ihrem PDA. Wie das bei Ihrem PDA
möglich ist, finden Sie im Handbuch zum PDA. Wenden Sie keine Gewalt an, um die SD-Karte aus dem
PDA zu entfernen.

Bei manchen PDAs ist z.B. die SD-Karte zuerst ein kleines Stück in den PDA hineinzu-
schieben, bis die Rastung auslöst und die SD-Karte entnommen werden kann.

Prescribed use
The product is only suitable for the operation in a SD card slot of an appropriate PDA (pocket PC with up-
to-date Windows CE operating system required).

Installation
Switch your computer on and wait until the operating system is completely booted (Windows XP
recommended). Switch the PDA on afterwards and connect it via the sync cable included with the PDA with
your computer (the sync software included with the PDA has to be installed already and run in the
background).
Place the CD included in delivery in the corresponding drive of the computer. If the installation program
does not appear automatically, start the installation routine via "setup.exe" (may also be called "install.exe"
and/or "autorun.exe", note the content of the CD).
After a click on "install" the necessary drivers will be installed, follow all instructions.
Carefully insert the SD card with the correct position into the SD slot of your PDA until it clicks into place.
Please note the operating instructions of the PDA. Do not use any force, it has to be easy to insert the SD-
WLAN card.
WLAN connection in PDA
In the English operating manual on the CD (you will find a very detailed step by step guide in PDF format.
However, to read the instructions, "Acrobat Reader" is necessary; it can be downloaded free of charge
under www.adobe.com). Of course the windows may look a little different, depending on the language
version of your PDA operating system.
Select "programs" in the start menu of your PDA and start the WLAN software ("WLAN" icon). Click onto
"radio" at the bottom. Switch on the WLAN function in the displayed window ("S/W Radio: ON"), close the
window again.
The other necessary settings depend on the existing WLAN components and the connections needed by
you.
Tips and Notes
The maximum range depends, among other things, on the alignment of the PDA and the aerial(s) of your
WLAN. In an ideal case up to 30m are possible, but a range of max 5m is also normal.
If necessary, adjust the PDA and/or the other WLAN components differently, in order to improve the range.
The operation of the WLAN card decreases the operating time of your PDA, despite a relatively low power
consumption. This is normal. When the WLAN card is not needed and/or if you have to rely on the maximum
rechargeable battery life, remove it from your PDA. How to do this with your PDA can be read up in the
handbook of the PDA. Do not use any force to remove the SD card from the PDA.


releases and the SD card can be taken out.
