Installation and Connection

When selecting the position for installing the motion detector, please note that
it must not be subjected to direct sunlight, vibrations, dust, heat or cold. This
can lead to faulty activation, defects or functionalimpairments.
The product is IP44-protected and thus, suitable for outdoor areas. Ensure that
the device is voltage-free during installation and connection!
No devices which produce strong magnetic or electric fields, such as mobile
phones, electric motors, etc. must be in the immediate vicinity.
Make sure that cables are not damaged when drilling or bolting into place.
Installation height: 1.8 to 2.5 metres (recommended = 2.4 metres)
To ensure optimal motion detection, the motion detector must be placed so that the
object to be detected does not approach the motion detector directly but passes from left
to right or vice versa.
Proceed as follows, to ensure the correct installation:
• Take out the main fuse from your fuse box (in the case of threaded/automatic fuses) or switch
off the main fuse before starting with the installation.
• Remove the „Housing screw" (1) and carefully remove the housing lid.
• At the back of the device there are four „mounting holes" (5) Hold the device's back to the
desired spot for installation and mark the mounting holes on the wall (e.g. using a pencil).
• Drill the holes for mounting into the wall.
• Attach the back of the device's housing to the wall with suitable mounting material.
• Connect the internal terminal according to the following connection example. Feed the
connection cable through the intended „Cable feedthrough" (4).
Connection terminal:
When the „back of the housing „ (1) of
the motion detector is removed,
a connection terminal becomes visible.

• After successful connection attach the motion detector onto the premounted housing back and
fasten it with the „Attachment screw" (6).
• Adjust the motion detector to the desired position and tighten the „locking screw of the
adjustment element" (3) afterwards.
• Replace the main fuse into your fuse box (in the case of screwlocks/ automats) or switch on
the main fuse.
Timer and Brightness Setup
Set the following by means of the rotatry control „SENS", „TIME" and „LUX":
SENS:
Motion detection sensitivity
TIME:
The reaction time for motion detection can be set from approx. 5 seconds up to
max.
approx. 7 minutes (+/- 2 minutes max.).
LUX:
Brightness sensitivity; adjustable from approx. 5 Lux up to daylight brightness.

Maintenance and cleaning

Apart from an occasional cleaning of the lens, this product is maintenance-free.
Please use a clean, lint-free and dry antistatic cloth to clean the motion detector. Do not use
abrasive or chemical agents, or cleaners containing solvents. Do not press too hard on the
diffusion lens.
Terminal instructions:
L) 230 V/AC 50 Hz; connect the phase here.
N) 230 V/AC 50 Hz; connect the neutral conductor
here. The neutral conductor has furthermore to
be connected to the consumer (observe
connection example on the left).
A) Connection for consumer.Marked with A on the
terminal of the motion detector. Connect this
jack to your consumer.
Z) Strain relief for connection cable.
