11. Inserting/removing the hard disk

• Before you may plug the hard disk into the
docking station, you have to turn the
docking station off via the on/off button on
the (see arrow in the image on the right).
The same applies if you want to pull the
hard disk out of the docking station.
When the docking station is turned off, the
blue power LED of the docking station
goes off.
If the hard disk is inserted or pulled out while the docking station is turned on
(blue power LED is lit), you may damage the hard disk and/or the docking
station.
• Now insert the hard disk into the docking station observing the correct orientation (LED on
the hard disk housing points forward towards the buttons). Do not exert any force for
insertion.
• To remove the hard disk, firs turn the docking station off via the on/off button (see arrow in
the image on the right). Then press the broad ejection button between the keypad and the
hard disk insert.
then you can easily pull out the hard disk upwards.
