Item no. 52 69 14
Intended use
The test monitor can be used to check a surveillance camera and its connection cable. The
integrated TFT monitor allows you to check whether a video signal is existing.
Also, the test monitor can be used to precisely align a surveillance camera during installation.
The test monitor can be powered via a rechargeable battery, independent of an external power
supply.
The rechargeable battery in the test monitor can be recharged via the provided wall plug trans-
former.

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases,
the warranty will be null and void.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not permitted for
safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy. Devices operated using mains voltage do not belong in
the hands of children. Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The product must not get damp or wet. Wall plug transformers have the potential
to cause a fatal electric shock!
• The design of the wall plug transformer complies with Protection Class II. Use only
a standard mains socket as the power source for the wall plug transformer.
The mains socket into which the wall plug transformer is plugged must be easily
accessible.
• Use only the external wall plug transformer supplied to power the product.
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
Hold it on the sides of the casing and pull it out of the mains socket.
• If the wall plug transformer is damaged, do not touch it; there is danger to life from
electric shock!
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the wall plug transformer
is connected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety
fuse and then switch off at the corresponding RCD protective switch, so that the
socket is fully disconnected).
You can then unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket. Dispose of
the faulty wall plug transformer in an environmentally friendly way, do not use it any
more. Replace it with a wall plug transformer of the same design.
• The product should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, in-
tense vibrations or heavy mechanical stress. Protect it against dust and dirt.
• When the product is taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g., during transport),
condensation may be produced.

Notes on rechargeable batteries
• Keep rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave the batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed
by children or domestic animals. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• If your skin comes into contact with leaking or damaged batteries, you may suffer burns. For
this reason you should use suitable protective gloves in this case.
Liquids leaking from batteries/rechargeable batteries are very chemically aggressive. Ob-
jects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids might be considerably damaged.
Thus, store batteries/rechargeable batteries in a suitable location.
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fi re.
There is a risk of explosion!
Please observe the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the rechargeable
batteries.
• Protect rechargeable batteries from humidity, extreme heat or cold. Never expose the re-
chargeable batteries to direct sunlight.
• Charge the provided rechargeable battery in the test monitor only. Only use the wall plug
transformer enclosed for the test monitor. The required charging electronics is integrated in
the test monitor.
• Recharge the rechargeable battery of the test monitor regularly (at least every 2-3 months),
even if you do not use the test monitor, in order to avoid a deep discharge. In the event of a
deep discharge, the rechargeable battery will become permanently unusable.
Charging the rechargeable battery
• Remove the cover of the rechargeable battery's compartment on the rear side of the test
monitor.
• Insert the provided rechargeable battery into the test monitor observing the correct polarity.
Due to the confi guration of the connectors of the rechargeable battery and the contacts in the
battery compartment, only one position is correct.
• Close the rechargeable battery compartment again.
• Connect the low voltage plug of the wall plug transformer provided to the corresponding
socket on the test monitor.
• Plug the wall plug transformer into a standard mains socket.
• The charging control LED next to the low voltage socket of the test monitor lights up during
the charging process. When the rechargeable battery is fully charged, the LED goes out.
The charging process of an entirely discharged accumulator takes about 3 hours.
• Once the charging is complete, disconnect the round low voltage plug from the test monitor
and then unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket.
• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer works
- the device has been stored under adverse conditions for a long time
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• The accident prevention regulations of the association of compensation insurers
must be followed when using all electrical facilities and equipment in commercial
locations.
• In schools, educational centres, hobby and self-help workshops, the operation of
the product must be supervised by trained employees.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating instructions,
please contact our technical support centre or consult a professional.
During the charging process the test monitor can be switched on and operated as
usual. However, this may increase the charging time. In this case the LED lights yel-
low. When the accumulator is fully charged, the LED lights green.
