Intended Use
The product is an outdoors lamp for gardens and terraces. The lamp can be used as orientation
lighting, to illuminate paths at night, or for decorative illumination.
Light emitting diodes (LED) are used as the light source. They are fairly bright, but consume little
current. The light is designed for use on private premises and is not suitable for commercial use.
Use, other than that described above, can damage the product and may involve additional risks
such as short circuits, fire and electric shocks. No part of the product must be modified or rebuilt!
This product complies with the applicable National and European specifications. The safety
instructions must be observed at all times.

Safety Instructions
Please read all the instructions before using this device, they include
important information on its correct operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The
warranty will be void in such cases.
General Information
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible
because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• This product is not a toy, and should be kept out of the reach of children. Children
cannot be expected to understand the hazards associated with electrical devices.
• The product is constructed according to protection class II. The plug on the trans-
former 's mains cable is designed as a safety shaped plug.
Only a standard power socket (230V~/50Hz), with protective earth, connected to
the public mains system may be used as a power source. for the transformer
• Due to the construction and the protection class IP44 (or IP 64 for the transformer)
the product may be installed and operated in unprotected outdoor areas.
The first digit "4" in "IP44" indicates protection from contact with internal moving
parts by tools, wiring or suchlike, with a diameter greater than 1 mm.
The second "42 indicates protection from water spray. Water spray from any
direction should not damage the equipment.
The transformer is IP64 protected, whereby the first digit "6" indicates complete
protection against contact with live parts or internal moving parts as well as
protection against dust penetration.
• Only the transformer supplied may be used to supply power to the individual
lights.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress. These may damage the product.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impact, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height. If you find any damage, you must not use the
product.
Do not repair the mains cable if it is damaged! There is a lethal danger of an
electric shock!

• Do not leave the packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous
playthings for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the employer's
liability insurance association for electrical systems and operating facilities are to
be observed!

Location for Installation
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not use the product in rooms or in poor ambient conditions where flammable
gases, vapours or explosive dust may be present or are present!
• Place the lights at ground level. The ground must be firm enough, so the lights do
not tilt over after being in operation for a while.
• The product must not be operated in, or under water, or where there is standing
water or where there could be flooding.
• Ensure that the lights are placed safely. Place the lights in such a way that no one
can trip over the lights or the connecting cables.
• Use of the lights near of garden ponds, wells, swimming pools, fountains or
suchlike, is only allowed in compliance with the current regulations e.g. VDE.
• When using an extension cable, make sure this is suitable for outdoor use. Mains
sockets or distribution boards that are used in unprotected outdoor areas must
comply with IP44. Observe the respective operating instructions.
• Ensure that connection for the electric plug is located in an area protected against
flooding, otherwise, there is a lethal danger of an electric shock!
• Protect the power cable and the transformer from heat, oil/petrol and sharp
edges; do not step on the power cable; do not drive over it (for example with a
wheelbarrow, bicycle or car).
Never bend the cables and do not place objects on them.

Operation

• Never cover the transformer and lamps when in use, e.g. with decorative materi-
al.
• Avoid looking directly into the light source. Due to the bright light, disturbances in
your sight may arise. Do not point the light directly towards people or animals.
• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
• If you detect damage on the product during operation, switch off at the power
socket (e.g. disconnect the automatic circuit breaker) then remove the plug from
the power socket. Afterwards, the product must not used anymore; take it to a
service centre or dispose of it in an environmentally aware manner.
• Always unplug the device when not in use, and before repair or maintenance.
