Intended use
The Action HD Camera serves the purpose of capturing digital videos including sound.
The extensive accessories provided enable a large number of fastening options.
Recording takes place on an external storage medium (see "Technical Specifi cations").
The data can be read directly via USB or a card reader.
Power is to be supplied only via the permanently integrated rechargeable battery. Any use other
than that described above is not permitted and can damage the product. In addition, it can lead
to hazards such as short-circuit, fi re, etc.
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements. All names of

Explanation of the symbols
In the operating manual, an exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates important
instructions.
The "hand" symbol indicates special information and advice on operating the device.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not permitted
for safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
falls, even from a low height.
• When mounting, always pay attention to a solid and secure hold to avoid material
or personal damage.
• Never point the camera directly toward the sun when taking pictures. This could
damage the camera.
• When using the camera in a humid environment or in water, use only the dust pro-
tection cap without microphone holes. This is the only way of making the camera
waterproof.
• The mains socket into which the USB charging device is plugged must be easily
accessible.
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the cable.
Hold it on the sides of the casing and pull it out of the mains socket.
• Always seal the camera with the dust protection cap after charging, export
or memory card exchange.

Charging the battery
• A blue, fast-fl ashing light at front near the lens signals a low rechargeable battery capacity.
• To charge the battery, remove the dust protection cap "4" from the camera by turning the cap
in the anti-clockwise direction.
• Connect the mini-USB connector with the mini-USB port "7" of the camera.
• Connect the USB cable either to your computer or to the provided wall plug transformer. Plug
the wall plug transformer into a mains socket. A green illuminated LED signals the power
supply of the wall plug transformer.
• The charging function is signalled by a blue LED on the camera.
Once the battery is fully charged, the LED on the camera changes to green.
• Disconnect the mini-USB connector from the camera and pull out the wall plug transformer
from the mains plug if necessary, or disconnect the USB cable from your computer.
• Always mount the dust protection cap on the camera so that the product continues to retain
its protection type and the connecting contacts are not polluted. Please ensure that the seal-
ing ring in the dust protection cap is also installed.
• After the charging operation, always remove the wall plug transformer from
the mains socket to save power.
• Avoid adverse environmental conditions during use, storage or charging.

- Dust or fl ammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong magnetic fi elds such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or
loudspeakers

Please note that before the fi rst use, the rechargeable battery should be charged for
at least 12 hours.
Recharge the battery fully no later than after 14 days, even if you do not use the
product. Otherwise the battery could become exhausted and thereby damaged.
