Note
You may use the I/O module with device category 3G in the hazardous area of zone 2.
You may connect sensors of device categories 1G, 2G and 3G for zones 0, 1, and 2 as
well as device categories 1D, 2D and 3D for zones 20, 21 and 22 to the I/O module
inputs.
Installation
DANGER
Explosion hazard
Ignitable sparks or impermissible surface temperatures can potentially occur during
installation work. Never carry out mounting under explosive conditions!
When mounting, adhere to the installation and setup regulations according to DIN EN
IEC 60079-14 and the country-specific regulations.
DANGER
No standard BaseUnits to Ex modules
No standard BaseUnits may be connected to the BaseUnits of the Ex modules.
Wiring of the BaseUnit
When laying the cables and wiring, adhere to the installation and setup regulations
according to DIN EN IEC 60079-14 as well as the country-specific regulations.
Ensure intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe cables are completely separate
during wiring. They must be routed in separate cable ducts and must maintain a
minimum distance of 50 mm from "non-intrinsically safe cables".
The shield connection is separated from the intrinsically safe circuits and is connected
to the local equipotential bonding system. Any significant loop current through the
shield should be avoided because the shield is not intrinsically safe and the "increased
safety" explosion protection type is not present.
Only Ex I/O modules of the ET 200SP HA and ET 200SP series may be connected to the
power module. Observe the maximum permissible output current of the power
module.
