Replacing the connector
1. Take hold of the nose cup at the tip of the nose, then pull it off the pin and
out of the speech diaphragm groove.
2. Unhook the cap on both sides from the visor frame (see Figure F1-1 on
page 94).
3. Use your thumbs to press against the bottom part of the cap and remove it
from the fastening lugs (see Figure F1-2 on page 94).
4. Pull the cap from the facepiece.
5. Use a screw driver to pry open the clamping ring, then remove it.
6. Pull out the old connector.
7. Align the new connector and the center marking before inserting and make
sure that it fits properly.
8. Align and mount new clamping ring: Attach the hook to ensure the tightest
possible fit of the clamping ring. Compress the nose on the clamping ring
using type R 53 239 pilers until the equipment connector is securely located
in the facepiece body.
9. Put the cap on the connector, lock it into place on the fastening lugs (see
Figure F1-2 on page 94) and hook it into the visor frame (see Figure F1-1
on page 94).
10. Put the nose cup onto the pin to center it.
11. Press the ring of the nose cup into the speech diaphragm groove - at first at
the bottom and then all around the speech diaphragm.

Replacing the head harness
Remove the head harness from the facepiece as follows (see Figure J1 on
page 94):
1. Pull the head harness away from the strap of the facepiece.
2. Push the clip on the head harness towards the visor.

Transport
Transport the facepiece in a carrying box or mask bag.

Storage
● Loosen the straps of the head harness as far as possible.
● Make sure that the facepiece is dry.
● Pack the facepiece in its bag or storage box.
● Store the facepiece in a dry, dust-free place where it will not be deformed.
● Keep the facepiece out of direct sunlight and heat.
● Storage temperature: 5 °F to 77 °F (-15 °C to +25 °C).
● Observe ISO 2230 and national guidelines for storage, maintenance and
cleaning of rubber products.
Dräger rubber products are treated with an agent to protect against premature
aging which in some cases is visible as a gray-white coating. This coating can
be washed off with a brush and soapy water.

Disposal
Dispose of the product in accordance with the applicable regulations.
