1 Remove the transparent plastic from the display and from the
infrared signal generator of the base station.

Two non-rechargeable batteries (AAA 1.5V alkaline) for the remote
control are supplied with the appliance. Insert the batteries into the battery
compartment before you use the appliance. The batteries last at least 2
years. If they are empty, replace them with batteries of the same type
1 Remove the battery compartment lid.
2 Insert the batteries into the battery compartment.
Note: Make sure the + and - poles of the batteries point in the right direction.
3 Reattach the battery compartment lid.

Preparing for use

installing the base station

1 Insert the small plug of the adapter into the socket for the small plug
on the base station.
2 Place the base station on a horizontal, level floor against the wall.
Note: We advise you to attach the base station to the floor with the double-
sided adhesive tape supplied with the appliance for extra stability.
