The Max. read length defines the maximum number of
data words (16 bits) that are transferred from the data
carrier to the processor unit with a read command.

In a heavily electromagnetically stressed
environment, better results may be achieved if
fewer data words are transmitted in a
command.
Automatic scanning

The Automatic scanning parameter sets the read/write
head to an operating state in which the active area of the
antenna is constantly monitored. As soon as one or more
data carriers are located in the active field of the antenna,
this is signaled to the read/write head. This is signaled to
the controller in the form of a tag-present message if there
is only one data carrier in front of the antenna or in the
form of a multi-tag message if there are two or more data
carriers in front of the antenna. As soon as a tag is
signaled as present (Tag present), it can be processed.
The advantage of this operating mode is that the antenna
field does not have to be monitored manually via
continuous polling. This reduces the BUS load.
The parameter is set as a time value indicating after what
time the antenna field will be searched for tags again.
The desired repetition time is composed as follows:

Auto. Scan resolution
The automatic scan resolution parameter can be used to
refine the scan interval of the automatic scan operation.
The parameter value is multiplied by 10 ms.
The time between two automatically executed scans is
calculated as follows:
