Assembly
The scope of delivery contains:
1 hook spannerl
1 hexagonal spanner
1 hexagonal spanner
1 fork wrench
Due to technical reasons of packaging, your scheppach planing machine is not completely assembled.
Do not lift the planing machine at the trimming desks!
With the chip ejection hood retracted, the thicknessing table may be moved up to a maximum of 75 mm only!
Setup and adjustment

The machine stands on 4 adjustable rubber block supports.
Level unevenness of the floor. Loosen the lower hexagonal
nuts by means of the wrench and screw in or out the rubber
block supports.
Tighten the hexagonal nuts again. (check)
Attention!
It is obligatory to adjust the machine by means of a water
level.
In the case of removed rubber block supports the machine
can be bolted to the floor through the boreholes.
Driving mechanism

Lift the machine according to the sign-board for to swing in
and out the wheel set.
Surface planing fence

Setting the surface planing fence onto the machine
Find the 90° position with the aid of a back square
Pull the lock lever 1 tight.
Set fence screws 2 to the 90° and 45° position using a 10
span single-head wrench.
The surface planing fence can be swung to any position
between 90° - 45°, when the handles on the swinging
segments are loosened.
Set the 90° position with a back square. After setting each
angle, check the exactness of the measurement on a trial
piece using a protractor.
Adjustment of the trimming stopper

Check 90°/45° angle and adjust by means of the cylindrical
screw M4x8.
1 = adjusting screw 90° angle
2 = adjusting screw 45° angle

„I„, „J„
Attention!
The trimming stopper has to be always fixed safely.

The clamping of the trimming stopper is effected by means of
an eccentric lever (1)
Additionally the trimming stopper can be clamped with the
lever (2)
(hms/hmc3200ci / hmc2600ci)
The trimming stopper is adjustable 320 mm (hms/
hmc3200ci) and 260 mm (hmc2600ci/hms260ci) across the
planing width.
Attention!
The trimming stopper has to be fixed always safely.
Screw on the planing shaft protection at the trimming desk,
which lets down.
The planing shaft protection can be swivelled apart without
use of a tool by pulling up the eccentric lever, swivel apart
the planing shaft protection, push down the eccentric
lever again.

Attention:
While planing never work without planing shaft protection.

Putting into operation

Before putting into operation pay attention to the security
instructions.
All protection and auxiliary equipment have to be
assembled.
Carry out adaptation, adjustment, measuring and cleaning
work only with switched off motor.
Pull power plug!
Planing – chip off particles

The chip off particles while planing is infinitely adjustable by
the articulated lever 1 from 0-5 mm (hms/hmc 3200ci) and
from 0-3 mm (hmc2600ci/hms260ci).
At the planing and at the attachment, the thickness desk
has to be adjusted between 70 mm - 140 mm (hmc2600ci/
hms260ci) and 70 mm - 180 mm (hms/hmc3200ci).
Attention, else the exhaust hood will be clamped! Fig:. „H1„
In the case of longer workpieces (longer than charging desk
or removal desk) a roller stand (special accessories) or similar
has to be used.
