9 Checking before installation
9.1 Checking scope of delivery
➤ Make sure that the product is complete (see chapter "Scope of
delivery" on page 18)
➤ Make sure that generator and power box are undamaged.

NOTE
In the event of damage caused by transportation, the buyer must imme-
diately report this to the company responsible for the transport.
➤ Check that no parts needed for a complete installation (e. g. additional
fastening materials) are missing.
9.2 Mounting kits for the generator and the power box

NOTE
Custom-made installation kits are available for the generator and for the
power box. Ask your dealer if a mounting kit is available for your vehicle.
9.3 Determine the pulley diameter design
9.3.1 Relation between RPM and power
The following graphics show the available power corresponding to the
generator speed.

The generator's speed is dependent on crankshaft speed. The pulleys
have to be dimensioned carefully to keep the generator's speed within the
allowed limits for the generator and to ensure that the engine will not over-
rev to achieve proper function.
