area using a different docking station, the
robotic mower and docking station must be
linked.
● Install the docking station and connect
the perimeter wire. (
9.8), (
Lift the robotic mower slightly by the
carrying handle (1) to relieve the weight on
the drive wheels. Push the machine,
resting on its front wheels, into the docking
station.
● After pressing the OK button,
enter the PIN code. The robotic
mower will then search for the
wire signal and save it automatically.
This process takes several minutes.
(
9.11)
No PIN code is required in the
safety level "None".
11.17 Service
1. Blade change:
Installation of a new mowing blade is
confirmed with OK.
132
If the blade has been in use for
more than 200 hours, the message
"Replace mowing blade" appears.
(

9.10)
2. Find wire break:
If the red LED on the docking station
flashes rapidly, there is a break in the
perimeter wire. (
● Find wire break (
3. Reset settings:
The robotic mower is reset to the factory
defaults with OK, the installation assistant
is restarted. (
● Enter the PIN code after pressing
the OK button.
No PIN code is required in the
safety level "None".
12. Perimeter wire
Before routing the
perimeter wire,
particularly prior to initial
installation, read the
entire section and plan the wire
routing in detail.
Perform initial installation using the
installation assistant. (
Should you require support, your
VIKING specialist dealer will be
pleased to assist you with
preparation of the mowing area and
installation of the perimeter wire.
Check the installation of the perimeter wire
before it is finally secured in place. (
Adjustments to the wire routing are
generally necessary in the vicinity of
corridors, confined areas or no-go areas.

– if the technical limits of the robotic
mower are reached, for example with
very long corridors or when routing the
perimeter wire in the vicinity of metal
objects or above metal under the lawn
(e.g. water pipes and power supply
lines),
– if the mowing area is structurally altered
for using the robotic mower.
The wire clearances specified in
this Instruction Manual are adapted
to routing of the perimeter wire on
the lawn area.
The perimeter wire can also be
buried up to a depth of 10 cm (e.g.
using a cable-laying machine).
Burial in the ground generally
influences signal reception,
particularly if flagstones or paving
stones are laid over the perimeter
wire. The robotic mower may travel
along at a greater offset to the
perimeter wire, requiring more
space in corridors, confined areas
and when travelling along edges.
Adapt wire routing if necessary.
12.1 Planning routing of the perimeter
wire
Study the installation examples at
the end of this instruction
manual. (
27.)
Include no-go areas, corridors,
secondary areas, guide loops and
reserve wire during routing of the
perimeter wire, in order to prevent
subsequent corrections.
● Determine the location of the docking
station. (
