The facility electrical power outlet has to be compliant with the voltage value on
the machine type plate.
The facility electrical power supply must be equipped with the proper fuse (see
technical data in section 1.4).
Depending on High Pressure Cleaner type and extension cable length, the wire
cross sections have to be as follows:

cable length up to 10 m
!
cable length 10 to 30 m
Do not connect the AC power cable to the electrical facility AC power outlet, be-
fore commissioning the High Pressure Cleaner according to section 2.4.

Fuel supply for High Pressure Cleaners series KDB and KDD

WARNING
Fill up fuel tank (figure 3 for KDB 1240; figure 8 for KDB 1540) of series KDB
with unleaded gasoline.
Fill up fuel tank (figure 10) of series KDD with Diesel.
2.4

Commissioning and Operation

2.4.1

General information

The High Pressure Cleaner operation may be started with high pressure hose
removed from high pressure outlet. When the water exits without bubbles at the
high pressure outlet, connect high pressure hose to the unit.
The operating pressure and discharge capacity is infinitely adjustable via the un-
loader valve (exceptionally for series KD 1440).
The spray angle determines the effectiveness of the high pressure spray. The
high pressure spray is recommended for stubborn dirt.
Low pressure fan jet is recommended for operation with detergent. The deter-
gent quantity admixed to the high pressure jet is adjusted with the regulation
nozzle. Adjust the regulation nozzle only, when the trigger gun is deactivated.
Always start cleaning task with the high pressure jet directed to the object from a
greater distance. This prevents damage to the object caused by excessively
high pressure.
Use only fuel as referred in the description below. Otherwise the
High Pressure Cleaner safety may be affected.
