CONNECTIONS, CONTROLS AND INDICATORS:
1
LINE INPUT LEFT / RIGHT
Balanced XLR / 6.3 mm jack (combo) line inputs left and right.
In order to use one subwoofer with two satellite speakers as a stereo sound system, connect the left and right
outputs of the sound source (e.g., mixer) with the left and right inputs of the subwoofer (INPUT LEFT/RIGHT).
Now connect the left SAT output of the subwoofer (SAT OUTPUT LEFT) to the active satellite speaker on the left
side and the right SAT output of the subwoofer (SAT OUTPUT RIGHT) to the active satellite speaker on the right
side. The signal for the subwoofer is internally summed from the stereo input signal to a mono signal.
In order to use two subwoofers with two satellite speakers as a stereo sound system, connect the left output
socket of the sound source to the input socket of the subwoofer on the left side (INPUT LEFT or RIGHT). If you
have chosen the left input socket (INPUT LEFT), you must also use the left SAT output socket (SAT OUTPUT
LEFT) to connect the satellite speaker on the left side and vice versa. Proceed in the same way with the
right output socket of the sound source and the subwoofer with satellite speaker on the right side. Use only
balanced XLR cables to make the connections.
2
SUB LEVEL
Volume controller on the subwoofer. When turned to the left, levels are lowered, when turned to the right,
they are raised.
3
SUB PHASE 0° / 180°
The phase reverse switch for the subwoofer (0°, 180°) is factory set to 0°. This setting is suitable for the
majority of applications. In unfavourable acoustic conditions, the setting of 180° may have a positive effect
on the overall sound.
4
SUB FREQ
Setting the upper cut-off frequency of the subwoofer from 80 Hz to 200 Hz.
5
INDICATOR LEDS
POWER: Lights up once the system is properly connected to the power mains and switched on.
SIGNAL: Lights up as soon as an audio signal is present.
LIMIT: Lights up if the loudspeaker system is operating in the clipping range. A short flash of the LED is not
critical. To protect the system, an excessive signal level is gently turned down by the built-in limiter. If the
limiter LED lights up permanently or for longer periods, reduce the volume level. Failure to do so may result
in a distorted sound and damage to the speaker system.
PROTECT: Lights up if the system is overloaded/overheated. The amplifier is muted automatically. Upon
reaching normal operating conditions, the device reverts to normal operating mode, after a few minutes.
6
SAT OUTPUT 100HZ LEFT / RIGHT
Balanced XLR line outputs (left / right) with 100 Hz high-pass filter for the control of active satellite speakers
or amplifiers.
